  27. Well, as I am the primary author of F-PROT, I am obviously biased :-) but
  28. the answer is really that it does not matter.

  30. Both programs are likely to detect any virus you are ever likely to encounter.
  31. There are differences, of course, but they are primarily in disinfection
  32. capabilities, interface design and abilities to detect totally new viruses.

  34. But why not use both - we don't always receive new viruses simultaneously,
  35. and there will always be some viruses one of us detects, but not the other
  36. one.  However, those are usually just recent "VirusBBS" viruses - not the
  37. ones that are ever likely to hit any "real" user.
