- Well, as I am the primary author of F-PROT, I am obviously biased :-) but
- the answer is really that it does not matter.

- Both programs are likely to detect any virus you are ever likely to encounter.
- There are differences, of course, but they are primarily in disinfection
- capabilities, interface design and abilities to detect totally new viruses.

- But why not use both - we don't always receive new viruses simultaneously,
- and there will always be some viruses one of us detects, but not the other
- one. However, those are usually just recent "VirusBBS" viruses - not the
- ones that are ever likely to hit any "real" user.
