  11. The other day, I called ABS computers to check up on the price of a
  12. 386-40 system I was thinking about getting someday.  In the August
  13. Computer Shopper it was $1307 and in the Sept. issue, it was $1289.
  14. Anyway, the salesman said the price had gone back up to 1307 because
  15. Intel and AMD raised their chip prices.  
  16.  
  17. So did they really raise chip prices?  To all you budding market analysts
  18. out there:  how temporary is this price increase?
