- The other day, I called ABS computers to check up on the price of a
- 386-40 system I was thinking about getting someday. In the August
- Computer Shopper it was $1307 and in the Sept. issue, it was $1289.
- Anyway, the salesman said the price had gone back up to 1307 because
- Intel and AMD raised their chip prices.

- So did they really raise chip prices? To all you budding market analysts
- out there: how temporary is this price increase?
