- Hello,
-
- I am using a Commodore PC40 computer with a green screen and
- I have a Commodore 1802 colour monitor( From a commodore 64). The connection
- comming out of the 1802 monitor is a circular 8 pin plug with wires only
- attached to the pins 2,4,6,8 (8 is in centre). I wish to commect this colour
- monitor up to the PC40 but the connection required to connect is a 9 pin plug
- in the following shape:
- _____________
- \ 1 2 3 4 5 /
- \ 6 7 8 9 /
- ---------
-
- The manual for the adapter card in the PC says that it will take a monochrome
- monitor(using 6 of the 9 pins) or a Colour monitor (using 9 of the 9 pins)
- or a Composite monitor (using 3 of the 9 pins).
-
- Is the 1802 monitor a composite monitor?
- The manual for the monitor says hardley anything.
-
- Can it be connected to the PC ? ...If so how ? (which pins go where)
-
- Any help would be much appreciated.
-
- Thanks
-
