- I am in need of either C or Assembler code that supports the 16550 UART.
- My present Assembler-based Async package implies support of the 8250,
- and does not take advantage of the 16550 FIFO buffer. Alas, i just
- discovered that data overruns are occurring on my PS/2 model 80, which
- is being fed data (from a special hardware box) at 9600 baud.
- This was proven by watching the serial port with a serial analyzer, and
- i am missing data coming from the outside world for sure.
- I hope that using the model 80's 16550 UART to it's fullest extent will
- fix this data overrun problem. Perhaps this append belongs somewhere
- else, but this is my first stab at it. Thanks, Tyler Barnett
