  13. I am in need of either C or Assembler code that supports the 16550 UART.
  14. My present Assembler-based Async package implies support of the 8250,
  15. and does not take advantage of the 16550 FIFO buffer.  Alas, i just
  16. discovered that data overruns are occurring on my PS/2 model 80, which
  17. is being fed data (from a special hardware box) at 9600 baud.
  18. This was proven by watching the serial port with a serial analyzer, and
  19. i am missing data coming from the outside world for sure.
  20. I hope that using the model 80's 16550 UART to it's fullest extent will
  21. fix this data overrun problem.  Perhaps this append belongs somewhere
  22. else, but this is my first stab at it.  Thanks, Tyler Barnett
