- I too concur that Mac/PC Connection is great. For years I too also used
- to place orders through MacConnection. Now that I've also acquired a
- 486/33, I also order through PC Connection.
-
- I was initially somewhat disappointed regarding PC Connection's
- shipping policy, however. I though it was strange that the same company
- would offer its Mac division $3 overnight shipping for any size
- order (h/w or s/w), generous 30 or 60 day money back guarantees whereas
- on the PC side it was second day shipping, actual cost for overnight,
- and actual cost for hardware.
-
- One thing to realized, however, is that Mac/PC Connection is the same
- company, and I've placed a couple of my PC orders through the Mac
- side. Also, for those who are tempted by the somewhat lower prices
- of some other mail order stores: use a credit card from a bank which
- offers price protection, and you can buy then buy from Mac/PC Connection
- and get your credit card to eat the difference. I've done this in
- several orders and easily made up for the high annual fee CitiBank
- charges me.
