  10. Yes it is possible to install a 1.2meg 5.25 drive on a XT.  You will need a
  11. controller which can handle the higher data transfer rate however.  There
  12. are several on the market made for the 8bit XT bus (these also handle
  13. 1.44meg 3.5 drives).  I don't know if the normal XT floppy controller will
  14. handle a 1.2meg drive as a 360K drive, but I do know it won't handle 1.2meg
  15. mode.  Depending on the controller & BIOS, you may also have to run a
  16. device driver to handle the higher density.
