  13. OK, so I went out and bought a 486/33 with an ATI Ultra card.
  14. Then, I got a Music Quest MIDI card.
  15. This is where the problem began.

  17. The card comes with a program called "easy8.exe" - a simple sequencer.
  18. I got that working just fine.  I have the card set to default vals:
  19. IRQ 2 Addr: 330.
  20.  
  21. I boot up windows, install the MPU-401 driver, setup to IRQ2/330.
  22. I reboot.
  23. I get an error message saying that there is a hardware conflict with
  24. the MPU401 driver, please adjust hardware.
  25.  
  26. I exit windows and try to boot up "easy8".  It says "can't find hardware".
  27.  
  28. So, apparenly, something about windows is screwing up my settings or 
  29. *something*.
  30.  
  31. I've already tried the LPAC driver, to no avail.

  33. Please, if anyone can help me out.  I'd be quite appreciative.
