- Ok, I think what may I may do is buy the GW Crystal Scan 15" with the
- system when I buy one and if it doesn't work just return it for a full
- refund and get one locally or otherwise.
-
- As for the problems other people are having - are they problems that
- are very evident when using the monitor? For instance, will I notice
- if my monitor has this same problem as some others or is it something
- that may appear normal but could get worse in the long run?
-
- As for the other option, a friend of mine told me that, in his
- opinion, Mag monitors aren't very good. He recommended Samsung or
- Samtron, but I couldn't find a 15" NI SVGA one at a good price
- anywhere really...there wasn't a Samsung 15", I think.
-
- How about Dell's monitors? I can get a Dell Ultrascan 15" monitor
- (this is NI, right?) for $529 (plus 6% tax, 1% packaging or some such
- charge) at the educational discount at my school. I'd have to see how
- this compares to their mail order price when tax is not factored in.
-
- But, how are the monitors as far as quality goes? If I have to, I
- could see myself spending a little more for a Dell monitor if they are good.
-
- Thanks,
- Mike
