- I'm having a little trouble with my computer. The AMI bios won't
- recognize my RLL drive. Both the drive and the controller work (at least
- in an XT), so the problem is in the BIOS. I'm using AMI BIOS on a 386sx
- @ 25Mhz. Here are the drive and controller specs:
-
- Seagate ST225 formatted at 31M RLL (ST238 equiv?)
- 8-bit Western Digital contr. WD1002A-27X
-
- Here are the drive settings I am using for the bios:
-
- Type Cylns Heads WPcom LZone Sectors
- ---- ----- ----- ----- ----- -------
- 3 615 6 300 615 17
-
- Are these the wrong settings? Do I have to set the jumpers differently on
- the controller card because it's a 386sx instead of an 8088? Do I have to
- put the controlling ram in a different spot? Somebody please help me!
-
- Thanks.
