- I have purchased a 486DX/50 Insight system. My experience was that
- the hardware was generally excellent. I was somewhat disappointed by the
- support though. I bought the system to run OS/2 and when my printer did
- not work I called them. The response that I got was that they use DOS and
- couldn't really help me with anything else. From prior experience with
- other systems and a long session with IBM on the phone we determined that
- the IO card was not compatible with OS/2. Insight could offer no
- replacement though they did take the old card back for a full refund. I
- had to find my own compatible card without their assistance. They also
- sold me some OS/2 drivers for my hard disk controller that were not
- necessary. they also took these back for a full refund.
-
- IN summary, good hardware, but not good support unless you are running
- DOS.
