  12. I have found a great deal (locally) on a 486sx 25 system and would like some 
  13. input about my choice of components.

  15. The system is a 486sx 25, 4 meg RAM, with a 170meg Connor drive, a Diamond 
  16. Stealth video card and a Minimicro (Samsung) SVGA monitor (interlaced at 
  17. 1024x768).

  19. Has anyone ever used a Stealth and a Minimicro before?

  21. The 486sx motherboard doesn't have a cache (besides the internal 8 K cache 
  22. that all 486's have [is this true?]).  Would there be a huge performance 
  23. increase with a 256K (external?) cache?

  25. What are the possibilities of changing the crystal on the board to, say, 33 
  26. MHz for future upgrades?

  28. Is there anything to watch for with the IDE controller card??

  30. I haven't invested much in a computer before, so I want to be sure that I'm
