- I bought a Boca earlier this year when it first came out. It has
- one of the earlier version of ROM. It connects to USR Dual at 14.4k, PP,
- Zoom and many other modems... the problem I got with that first modem was
- not a major one. The modem couldn't response to the backspace key correctly.
- It backspace twice on the screen when I actually only press the key once.
-
- Last month, I decided I couldn't live with this problem anymore and
- gave Boca Research a call. The Tech crew aren't so bad, they responded to my
- problem and gave me a call back an hour later. After trying to figure out
- what version of ROM I got and what the problem is, they decided to upgrade my
- ROM. I have my new modem shipped prepaid,399 for the 14.4k internal. About
- a week later I got the new modem. Well, this time the manual and instruction
- for first time installation have improved greatly. I guess after so
- many complaines on the instruction book they have decided to revise it.
-
- I paid $255 with my first modem about 5 month ago. Now, it can be
- purchase well under $220.00 Over all the modem worth its price.
- Plus , their service isn't so bad after all. Ill give it a 8 out of 10 points.
