- The Sony 1604 is a larger version of the 1304 which I have owned for errr about 3
- yrs now...the image is pretty good, and the screen in cylendrical so right to
- left it is curved, but up to down it is straight make for very straight lines, a
- few problems, I will warn you about, there can be a pin cusioning problem, and
- the image can destort because of it, also service (sony at least) sucks they are
- the worst service centers, the one here in Phoenix, was so bad that I kept have
- to drive the 30+ miles to look it over, and the monitor was in worse shape that
- when I brought it in, I finally had to fix it myself (then the tube lost pieces
- of it phospher coating) so sony corperate replace the whole thing, the new one is
- a dream (that is the one I have owned for 3 yrs....When the 1304 came out it was
- ahead of it's time, and has aged really well, however the 1604 is new technology
- they really should have gone digital in it's set up (the way NEC has)...that is
- another problem...placement of controls, and how often you have to use em...hope
- this help..
