- I bought an Anadex Silent Scribe (model DP-9620A) dot-matrix printer for $5,
- but it doesn't work. It beeps when I power it up, when I turn it off-line,
- and when I try to print to it through the parallel interface (at least I believe
- it is a parallel interface). Does anyone know what the printer is trying to
- tell me? I don't think it is a false paper-out signal because the LED flashes
- when the paper is out.
-
- Does anyone have the manual for this printer? I'd like to try the serial
- interface, but I don't know what the 4 DIP switch blocks should be set to.
- Anadex doesn't appear to be in business anymore in Chatsworth, CA and the
- TRW repair service phone number stuck on the printer is no longer in service.
- BTW, it looks like a well-built printer.
