  13. Does anyone have (or know about) an exhaustive list of the current
  14. 386/486 CPU chips being sold by various manufacturers.  I'm interested
  15. in Maker, Model, and short description of chips, i.e.
  16.  
  17. Intel 386SX (16,20,25mhz) : 16 bit datapath, like the 286. (16mb limit???)
  18. Intel 386DX (16,20,25,33) : 32 bit internal/external addressing (4gb limit)
  19. Intel 486SX (20,25,33)      : on-board 8K cache, no FPU, used w/overdrive
  20. Intel 486DX (20,25,33,..) : w/FPU
  21. Intel 486DX2 (25/50,33/60 coming) : Internal processing at twice external
  22.                   : IS IT THE SAME AS OVERDRIVE???? (not?)

  24. Intel OverDrive : goes in compatibility slot of 486SX boxes, provides same
  25.         : function as DX2

  27. IBM 386SLC (???mhz) : provides power-management features esp. for laptops
  28.             : I think they also have a 486SLC
  29.             : I think my memory is severely screwed on this one :-)

  44. in FPU chips, as that subject was more than adequately covered in recent
  45. posts.
