  12. I've had falcon 3.0 since January but did not used it much. The steep learning
  13. curve just put me off. But since I started reading this news group and
  14. the enthusiastic posting on falcon I picked it up again. Now, a couple
  15. of weeks later I'm addicted to it.

  17. One thing I can't get used to is the padlock view. I'm getting resonably
  18. good at following a bandit in normal view, but when I use padlock I quickly
  19. end up staring at my tail most of the time. I just can't figure out which
  20. screen to focus on during a dogfight. So I'm very curious how the rest of you
  21. handle the padlock view. Any advice?

  23. Another thing that bothers me is the use of the radar STT mode. I'm
  24. using the radar in HFR setting. When I get a blip on the screen I select
  25. the target with the "z" key and switch to SST mode and press N for IFF.
  26. I sometimes loose radar lock during the dogfight, but after a few turns
  27. it usually picks it up again. The question is: will it be the same target
  28. that I was chasing before I lost the radar lock or has it just picked
  29. whatever plane was closest? (losing radar lock is why I'd like to master
  30. the padlock view).

  32. Final question, I've seen references to F3map (I've got falcnr). What is
  33. it and is it availabe on a ftp site?
