  16. What I am not new to is Civilisation.  Wow what a brilliant game.  After 
  17. reading a review in the local paper, I went out and bought the game, and
  18. I have to say the manual is thorough don't you think.

  20. However, I will not say that I am great at it.  I have progressed to be
  21. feeling confident with the 2nd bottom level (chieftain I think) but
  22. recently I went back and played at the bottom level and got basically 
  23. thrashed!!!

  27. Recently I saw some postings of some stratedgy for Civilization, and if
  28. anyone has them stored I would greatly appreaciate a copy of them, or
  29. even a replky on the network.

  31. Usually what I do is to build some Militia at the start to increase
  32. the radius of the city, then build a barrack, granary, phalanx to 
  33. properly defend the city.  My idea is to try and get each city going well
  34. before thinking of expanding.

  36. After about three cities I switch to Monarchy to get the cities rolling
  37. and after finishing all the improvements of the surrounding land, do I 
  38. change to Democracy or the Republic.
  39.  
  40. Please Please, Don't fail to criticize me, I NEED IT.  ANy useful comments
  41. or strategy would be greastly appreciated.

  43. Also, I noticed that there is quite a bit of traffic ibnvolved in civilisation
  44. and maybe it would be more appropriate to set up a new group
  45.  
  46. Shoot me if I'm wrong but I am relatively new to Unix
