- granted there are some pretty interesting quirks in the flight model that
- can be exploited, but generally it's a fun program that keeps you on your
- toes.
-
- at least it doesn't have a flight model like stormovik su-25 :) i love
- that game, it's the best for completely senseless violence like wiping out
- a whole town with rockets, but the flight model lets the thing handle like
- a boyant helicopter.
-
- my favorite tricks in CYAC's flight model:
- 1- the "power dive" attack. start some WW II (P51 vs. 4 Yak 9's
- is my favorite) planes at 40,000
- feet. everyone goes into a stall and drops; you kick in your
- flaps and lower throttle to follow them down. i've been able to
- pick off 4 "good" pilots without them being able to do a thing.
-
- 2- the "STOL" jet landing. this works especially well in the
- korea-era jets. line up with your airport and nose straight down
- until you're at a few thousand feet. kill your engine, drop flaps
- and gear. pull up at a few hundred feet and you can touch the
- runway with almost no forward speed.
