- As I recall, (I finished this a looooooong time ago) there was no way to get
- the extra batteries without burning your coins, and, consequently, your score.
- You're just going to have to be more efficient. I think you get just enough
- lamp power to do everything you need to do if you don't waste ANY time.
-
- If you still need/want more time...
-
- Subtle hint - You already know what things constitute taking a turn, and that
- each turn you take drains your batteries a bit. But think...there are TWO
- conditions that must be met for you to use up a turn's worth of batteries.
- Taking a turn is one (you already knew that). What's the other?
-
- Explicit hint follows...
-
-
- Explicit hint - if you still have battery life problems, it is worth noting
- that you can run around in the caves with the lights out as long as you don't
- make any false moves (e.g. go South from a room with no South exit). If
- you've made an accurate map, this should be no problem. This should extend
- your available time in the cave quite a bit.
