  35. As someone who has worked with various vendor's implementations of
  36. OSF/1 for the last year and a half and is aware of all the features,
  37. advantages and disadvantages of OSF/1, my strong opinion is that HP
  38. should keep as far from OSF/1 as possible.

  40. OSF/1 was a good idea, but it just didn't work out.  HP's plan of
  41. waiting until OSF/2 (base presumably on Mach 2.5) is a good plan.

  43. OSF Motif is a success, OSF DCE and DME look to be future successes.
  44. Further, it looks like even OSF ANDF has a chance.  Four out of five
  45. is a very good record...
