- I suspect it is done deliberately so that it *will* pull out easily. If a
- piece of equipment were to be pulled, or were to move accidentally, it is far
- better that the power cord be disconnected by the plug coming out rather than
- having wires pulled out of a plug. That could easily cause a fire or
- electrocution.
