Now that my part in the InterWorks conference is over with, I will get
back to posting periodic updates regarding the state of the iworks ftp
site.

As part of my conference-related work, and in conjunction with some very
helpful HP people, InterWorks has produced a CD containing all the software
currently maintained on the iworks node. This includes the entire DOMAIN
library, as well as the current contents of the "comp.hp" directory plus
other packages provided by HP for distribution at the conference (e.g.,
X11R5 stuff). Although the CD was a popular item at the conference, there
are still some left. Information on obtaining this CD may be obtained by

InterWorks expects to periodically generate updated CDs in the future.

With regard to the ftp site recently announced at the Liverpool computer
science department-- as many Europeans already know, and many others have
recently discovered, the use of the trans-Atlantic link can be a trying
experience. I have begun communications with the people in charge of that
site, and will be starting to bring the contents of their archive onto
iworks in the near future. InterWorks is also attempting to set up mirror
sites of the iworks node on other continents at this time.
