  16. I suspect that error message is generated by either the compiler, "make", or
  17. the shell, and not by "ld" itself.  It simply indicates that "ld" died due to
  18. signal (138-128) = 10 = SIGBUS.  In other words, "ld" crashed and dumped core.
  19. It produced no error message about that; whoever called "ld" did.  I don't work
  20. on the PA linker, though, so I have no clue as to why the linker died.
