  11. When I had this problem and talked to the HP response center they told
  12. me that processes in an "I/O wait" state would not respond to signals.

  14. The way it seemed to happen on our system was when a dialed in user was
  15. disconnected due to line noise while they were in the middle of doing a
  16. file transfer or in the Korn Shell's edit mode.

  18. As far as I know this bug has not been fixed - SR# 5003056507 (my very
  19. first HP-UX bug report!).
