- Hello, netters.
- Here is my pb: I have 2 HP400 machines. One of them (named hpsrv)
- is the mail server. sendmail.cf is exactly the same file
- (I use rcp to update) on both machines.
- The /usr/mail on the 2nd machine is replaced by a symbolic link towards the
- directory: /nfs/hpsrv/usr/mail.
- All that works well... except when root tries to read mail... when root
- has mail: it hangs up, because elm thinks that there is an incoming mail...
- Not too serious, because after 10 tries it give up. But when root connects,
- the command mail -e, which is in the profile, really hangs. Even a kill -9
- from another window can't suppress the process.
- I think that the pb is connected with the 65534 UID of root, as seen from
- an nfs-mounted machine... but what is the solution ???
