  12. Hello, netters.
  13. Here is my pb: I have 2 HP400 machines. One of them (named hpsrv) 
  14. is the mail server. sendmail.cf is exactly the same file 
  15. (I use rcp to update) on both machines.
  16. The /usr/mail on the 2nd machine is replaced by a symbolic link towards the
  17. directory: /nfs/hpsrv/usr/mail. 
  18. All that works well... except when root tries to read mail... when root
  19. has mail: it hangs up, because elm thinks that there is an incoming mail...
  20. Not too serious, because after 10 tries it give up. But when root connects, 
  21. the command mail -e, which is in the profile, really hangs. Even a kill -9
  22. from another window can't suppress the process.
  23. I think that the pb is connected with the 65534 UID of root, as seen from 
  24. an nfs-mounted machine... but what is the solution ???
