- Can someone explain why it is so important to have OSF/1?
- I'd rather have a bug-free, patch-free operating system
- which does not have embarassing crashes (as HP-UX 8.0 did, till I found
- out that there are patches PHNE_..., which should have been
- incorporated before the tapes were shipped to me), and without the
- need to go through a painful update every so often. There should also
- be noo need to ftp imake, Xaw.h, and configuration files from Uppsala, or
- Liverpool, when the Company is just 800 km away from you....
- Rather than sooner, I prefer to have an OS which is indded better,
- consistent, stable, and easy for a non-hacker to update and maintain.
