  14. Can someone explain why it is so important to have OSF/1? 
  15. I'd rather have a bug-free, patch-free operating system 
  16. which does not have embarassing crashes (as HP-UX 8.0 did, till I found
  17. out that there are patches PHNE_..., which should have been
  18. incorporated before the tapes were shipped to me), and without the
  19. need to go through a painful update every so often. There should also
  20. be noo need to ftp imake, Xaw.h, and configuration files from Uppsala, or
  21. Liverpool, when the Company is just 800 km away from you....
  22. Rather than sooner, I prefer to have an OS which is indded better,
  23. consistent, stable, and easy for a non-hacker to update and maintain.
