- The HP Starbase graphics library is a closer fit to the CGI standard than
- GKS is. Starbase was originally spun off from a VDI draft many years ago.
- (VDI was an early name for CGI.)

- The GKS and Starbase libraries don't have direct support for graphics on
- PCs. They do support graphics to X servers, so you could get the effect
- by putting a software X server product on each PC.
