-
- HP does not claim conformance to IEEE drafts, as the drafts themselves
- require that one does not claim conformance to them. Thus, anyone
- claiming conformance to IEEE drafts is thereby non-conforming. :-)
-
- The only official POSIX 1003 projects which have been completed (I think) are:
-
- 1 IEEE Std 1003.1-1988 Portable Operating System Interface
- 2 IEEE Std 1003.1-1990 (update to #1)
- 3 IEEE Std 1003.3-1991 Conformance Test Methods
- 4 IEEE Std 1003.9-1991 FORTRAN Bindings to #1
- 5 IEEE Std 1003.2-1992 Shell and Utilities (Sept, '92)
-
- HP-UX 7.0* supports 1.
-
- HP-UX 8.0* supports 1 and 2.
-
- HP-UX 9.0* supports 1, 2, and 5.
-
- MPE/iX may support one or more of the above in a future release.
-
- #3 specifies general characteristics of test suites and assertions, and
- as operating systems are not test suites, they does not conform to it.
