- We will be getting a HP 705 (or 710) this week. I have good
- experience with SunSparcs and Solbournes. I wanted to know
- how different is HP system administration when compared
- to Sun. Some of you gurus may find my questions too stupid,
- but that is ok !!!
-
- * Can I set up my HP as a client of Solbourne (yellow pages) ?
- I think the answer is YES but how hard is it to get this
- setup working.
-
- * Can I access the disk space of my solbourne from a HP ?
- (automounting). If so, how tough is it ?
-
- * Can I use the executables compiled on non-HP machines
- on my HP (like tcsh, mush, rn ) ? dumb question uh ?
-
- * Should I get some books for HP administration ? Are there
- any books available ? I have books for Sun administration.
-
- * which are the good newsgroups on Usenet for HP ?
-
- * Any other info about HP systems is welcome.
-
- Please respond by email.
-
- thanks
