  13. I just came across a very nifty little calculator, and for what you get, 
  14. it's very cheap.  The Casio fx-6300G sells for $39 retail at a local
  15. office supple place (Radio Shack sells the same model under their
  16. own name for around $50).  No, it's not even in the same league
  17. as things like the HP-48: But, having got that out of the way, it's very nice...

  19. It has all the usual scientific functions, an alpha-numeric display
  20. (one line, 12 characters), 400 step keystroke programming
  21. with with full editing, 10 separate program areas, full 1 and 2 variable
  22. stats with linear, log, and power regression, and it draws little
  23. tiny graphs!  Functions, stat bargraphs, scatter graphs, line
  24. fits, etc., with zoom and pan to boot.  Also Base-n conversions
  25. between decimal, binary, hex, and octal, with and, or, not, xor,
  26. type stuff.  Lots of nice little things like fraction arithmatic,
  27. HMS conversions, quite complete branching instructions in
  28. programming, random number generator, etc.  The case, keys,
  29. etc. are not up to HP standards, but they're not bad, either.  The
  30. keys are actual plastic keys, not one of those rubbery membrane
  31. things.  Logic is full algebraic, with the operator preceeding the
  32. operand: to take the sine of 45 degrees, you enter SIN 45, then 
  33. press the EXE key; there's no = key.   All in all a very capable
  34. little calc for the money.
