- I don't know of a utility. Certainly it would be possible to write
- one. If I recall correctly much of the original Fast File System code
- was tested in user mode. If you can't find one, I'm sure you can find
- someone to contract for a couple of months to write one.

- The other side of reading a VMS file system under ULTRIX would probably
- have similiar difficulty. If you really want to get fancy you might even
- be able to add kernel support for it through the file system switch.
- This was partly done during the advanced development work for the
- file system switch. A paper was presented at a USENIX discussing
- the file systems that were added. That code is probably long
- archived though.
