- It comes from the European UNIX Competency Circle, so it may not have made
- it to the whole of New World yet. Makes a change for us to get something
- before you do :-)
-
- Here's some information from the disc itself:
-
- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- This CD of UNIX(tm) software is being distributed worldwide by local offices
- of Digital from an initial production of approximately 10,000 copies. It is
- not a corporate product but a project of local initiative, and it is not sold
- for profit, so you can't order it through Digital's product channels. (See
- README.1ST.)
-
- How can you get a copy of the disk? Ask a local Digital support person or
- sales representative and tell them you're interested in the "European
- freeware CD". I don't know exactly where the disk will be available, so
- don't bother to write me to ask. Ask someone local to you; refer them to
- me for further information if you wish.

- There's a great miscellany of stuff on it, from Chinese xterm through
- multimedia demos to a translation of the Magna Carta. Too much to list
- here. It might be nice if Digital made the inventory file available by
- anonymous FTP.
