- What you may want to consider doing would be to simply use _only_ un-used
- diskettes when formatting -- IBM's in general, emualate / simulate the tracks
- by writing in the middle or something like that (been a while -- they may even
- write the left track, then the right track - not 100% sure) -- this way you
- avoid any prior garbage that may have been on the diskette. The 1581 would run
- into the same problems -- try a bulk eraser (not a program but a magnatic
- device...)
