  12. If I issue several print requests via 'lp', I get the following mail
  13. message sent to root.

  15. The first couple jobs print, then the printer stops, then starts up a
  16. few minutes later.  Print jobs are supposed to spool, one after each
  17. other.  I am running AT&T 386 Unix SVr3.1 and an IBM Proprinter II.

  19. How do I fix this?  Where do I look?

  24. The printer printer has stopped printing for the reason given below.
  25. Fix the problem and bring the printer back on line.
  26. Printing has stopped, but will be restarted in a few minutes;
  27. issue an enable command if you want to restart sooner.
  28. Unless someone issues a change request

  30.     lp -i printer-1315 -P ...
  31.  
  32. to change the page list to print, the current request will be reprinted from
  33. the beginning.
