  12. I'm having trouble with a couple of administration tasks on a StarServer
  13. E running Unix SVR4.  I've read the manuals, tried what I can, and still
  14. can't solve these problems.  I would appreciate some help.

  16. 1.  I have an AT&T 593 laser printer with the PDL (postscript) board
  17.     installed.  I installed it as "att593eps," directly connected to
  18.     the parallel port (/dev/lp), and have been unable to get anything
  19.     to print on it.  The commands I enter are:

  21.        /usr/lib/lp/postscript/postprint >xxx
  22.        lp xxx
  23.  
  24.     The printer displays "Processing" for several seconds and then
  25.     returns to "Online."  I have configured the printer for "PDL"
  26.     emulation.
  27.  
  28.     Also, if I just pipe the "postprint" and "lp" commands, they hang
  29.     and I have to break.
  30.  
  31. 2.  I have OpenLook 2.0 installed on the StarServer and on several
  32.     6386/25's.  I am able to use X on the 386's, but when I try to
  33.     start OpenLook (olinit) on the StarServer, it hangs with a blank
  34.     screen and eventually reboots.

  36.     Also, how do you connect to a remote client?
