- I bought an external 1.44Mb drive on the Atari Messe last weekend and it worked!
- I then concluded that it must be the drive it self which was the problem.
-
- After a long time of discussions with a friend of mine, I reopened the TT's case
- and replaced the drive. It still wouldn't work, which gives me the creeps,
- because the external one did. When we looked at the time, around 1:30 AM :-(,
- we gave up and closed everything again. We couldn't resist a last try, and.....
-
- it worked. It seems that it is very important to close the case. Interference
- of the monitor? who knows,
-
- Anyway, I am now the happy owner of two 1.44Mb drives.
-
- Thanks to everyone who posted or mailed some help.
