  20. I bought an external 1.44Mb drive on the Atari Messe last weekend and it worked!
  21. I then concluded that it must be the drive it self which was the problem.

  23. After a long time of discussions with a friend of mine, I reopened the TT's case
  24. and replaced the drive. It still wouldn't work, which gives me the creeps,
  25. because the external one did. When we looked at the time, around 1:30 AM :-(,
  26. we gave up and closed everything again. We couldn't resist a last try, and.....

  28. it worked. It seems that it is very important to close the case. Interference
  29. of the monitor? who knows,

  31. Anyway, I am now the happy owner of two 1.44Mb drives.
