  17. Umm, are you sure that this isn't the ouput from the stereo audio out?  It's
  18. a miniature stereo headphone plug (1/8" probably) and this would give you
  19. the two main channels of "what-everable" sound.

  24. The DSP port can output whatever it wants to, the key here is that it's a
  25. _digital_ port (most computer ports are :) and the output is completely
  26. software controllable.  So, if you wanted to send all 8 channels through
  27. the DSP output to an external box which could do a D/A conversion and/or
  28. mixing, you could have 8-channel (or 4-channel stereo) sound output.  However,
  29. this would require the extra hardware, i.e. some sort of interface to plug
  30. into the DSP port (well, that IS what it's for right, to plug extra things
  31. onto).  Anyone else wondering how we're going to plug 10 million interfaces
  32. onto the DSP port?  Perhaps a DSP port switchbox could be a lucrative device
  33. to make.  :-)

  40. dealer a bit before then if you want to order one, I would imagine.
