- Actually, this is kind of backwards. Every Intel chip <486 and every
- Motorolla chip <'040 ('030?) use clock dividers. The '486 and the '040
- actually use the external clock for their internal logic. Intel DX2 chips
- use an external clock that is twice the speed at which it communicates with
- its external lines (Address, data, BACK, etc.), and thus the rest of the
- system runs at 1/2 of the processors speed. I believe the '386 uses a
- 2:1 divider.
