- The 8n1/7e1 thing is EMACS's problem. I have run into exactly the same thing
- with a board that I connected to at 7e1. Apparently EMACS only runs in 8n1
- mode. I also found 'sz' and 'rz' wanted 8n1 as well. If you are running a
- shell account (I presume?) you could do a stty -evenp after you log on, then
- change your term program to 8n1 and you will be in 8n1 for everything. A pain,
- but better than using VI !!!!

- Is this the first term program you have tried? Have you tried Freeze Dried?
-
- Apparently there is an ENGLISH version of Connect in circulation. As far as
- the program anyway (or is this what you have now?). I gave up on trying to get
- it run. I find Freeze Dried great (although I'm only running 2400).
