  13. After a discussion with Detlef Roettger (one programmer of Crack Art)
  14. I will summarize the status of Crack Art:
  15.  
  16. - The programmers are still busy to update Crack Art. (now again - because
  17.   a lot of users have asked them to do that...)
  18. - The actual version number is 1.25 (1.30 will be released about Oct 92)
  19. - Some of the new features:
  20.   + more effects
  21.   + printer driver  (e.g. NEC, HP-Deskjet)  color!
  22.   + boot-dumper (start your game, press reset and grab the graphics)
  23.   + load and save GIF (actual only 320*200, but the programmers are still
  24.     working on it)
  25.   + support of Scanner (optional - not in distribution package)
  26.   + two more games (tetris, pacman)
  27.   + better menus etc.
  28.   + lot of bug fixing (have you ever find one of them?)
  29. - running on all STs, TTs etc. - some problems while running on Falcan 030:
  30.   block-operations crashes and some problems with fill-styles :-(
  31. - new extra programs (not only crackart.prg+doc)...
  32. - more than 1 MB Ram strongly recommended! (otherwise you only have one
  33.   or two screens)
  34. - no english manual to the latest version, yet. (but a new, longer german
  35.   doc)

  37. In the issue 10/92 of the german ST-Magazin there will be an article
  38. about Crack Art.
  39.  
  40. The version 1.22 is avaible on Maxon-PD-Disk 550.
  41. The version 1.25 is avaible via the programmers and will be on the
  42. ftp-site sun.rz.tu-clausthal.de (139.174.1.3) next week.
  43.   (I will post a second messages after uploading it).
  44. The version 1.30 will be released about end of Oct 92.
