- More likely the 040 is running at 30MHz externally and 60MHz internally.
- Intel is using this scam in their 50MHz 486DX2 chips and it sounds like
- this same trick is being used by the company whose product you saw.
- Don`t worry though, the 040 is faster at any clock speed than the 486
- and such deceptions really are not needed. However, they may be running
- a 25MHz chip at 30MHz and there could be problems.
