- Well, with all this extra 8-bit equipment around, I was thinking of
- trying to do some projects with them, ut the first thing I would like to
- be able to do is to have a simple networking scheme, not requiring a
- disk drive for each one.
-
- What I was thinking of was using the catridge port, but I don't
- know how feasible this is. With the 16k cartridges, there are two chips,
- but 8kcatridges on have one ROM. What would happen if I would daisy
- chain, with a ribbon cable that plug into the sockets on a cartridge
- bewteen the 8bits? Would the RAM in the cart area show up as the same on
- all machines? Would a change made by one machine show up in the address
- space of the other machines? Sort of like shared memory, the 16kblock
- where the carts go. Any suggestions?
-
- (I'm asking here cause I remember a post by (Jeff Potter?) about
- the new networking scheme they were devising on GEnie for a MidiMaze
- like game.)
-
- Thanks!!!
-
- Later.......
