  10. I just got a working copy of that game Phantom. (last night, actually.  I 
  11. was up at 3am unDiskComming the damned thing!)..  It's a pretty good 
  12. game.  It looks like Gauntlet, has the object of Ghostbusters, and the 
  13. most repetetive music I've ever heard! (next to Tetris on the GameBrat.) 
  14. (the music is it's only bad point)

  16. Very nice graphics.  If Dandy or Gauntlet look anything at ALL like this, 
  17. they'll become a must on my list!

  19. BTW: Bob Woolley has been kind enough to send out a spare copy of Action! 
  20. that he has!!!  And is offering me a 1200xl OS upgrade (that means Quick 
  21. will work!) and a RAM upgrade (he says 256k simms cost about $1!.. with 
  22. that DDIII will work MARVELOUSLY!)... and all for minimal charges.

  26. BTW: (mainly to Jeff McWilliams, but also anyone else interested) Bob 
  27. said that the way HE does 1200xl OS upgrades is to use EPROMs.  Rather 
  28. than pull one of the 2 24-pin OS sockets and replace one with a 28-pin 
  29. socket for the new OS (and the other spare could be used for built-in 
  30. BASIC), he just EPROMs the OS onto two 24-pin chips and plugs 'em in.  He 
  31. said something about 800 OS being on them too, hence no more FIXXL'ing, 
  32. just flipping the OS (how..!?!?) over to 800 mode when I need it.. (to 
  33. play that game "Smush"..hehehe)

  35. Anyways... it sounds really interesting.  Most of what he says is beyond 
  36. me, tho, but all I want is the comfort of having a nice operating system 
  37. ;) (and being able to see the BIG Dem, the Das Omen demo, Fred and 
  38. Mission Shark, and Quick...heheheheh)
