- I think I should bring up a point here. Yes, ICD has abandoned us as has many
- other companies (mostly software), but I din't hear users crying about not
- buying software that still exists from these companies because they have
- abandoned us.
-
- I feel that the "Don't get an MIO because ICD has abandoned us" is one of the
- lamest excuses for not getting a good piece of equipment I've ever heard!! All
- who seem to fall back on this more than likely have another thought which is,
- "If something happens to my MIO, how can I get it fixed?" I seriously doubt
- that ICD is the only company that can pick up a soddering iron or a volt/ohm
- meter and find out what is wrong with an MIO. The area I live in has got to
- have the SMALLEST Atari 8-bit user base that I'm aware of, but we can get an MIO
- fixed - WITHOUT ICD!
-
- I just thought I'd mention that because farnkly, it's a lousy arguement not to
- consider an MIO, which is a great piece of equipment that was manufactured by a
- not-so-good company, but then again, the MIO sounds like it comes from the SAME
- group of people who gave us the good 'ol ATARI 8-BIT!!! Atari Co. Are we going
- to not continue with the 8-bit also because we've been abandoned by Atari
- Corp.? If not, the the same attitude should be taken about any of these other
- companies that have done the same thing.
