- A few years ago (quite a few, I suppose) I bought a nifty XF551 drive
- for my 800 when my discontinued 1050 died on me.

- I did notice, though, that the XF drive is a bit incompatible with
- some of my disks. For instance Flight Simulator II no longer loads
- and gives some sort of memory error.

- Is this an inherent problem with the new (!) drive, or are my disks
- just damaged from the old faltering 1050?
- (What would make the XF551 different, except for the plastic case?)
