  12. A few years ago (quite a few, I suppose) I bought a nifty XF551 drive
  13. for my 800 when my discontinued 1050 died on me.
  14.  
  15. I did notice, though, that the XF drive is a bit incompatible with
  16. some of my disks.  For instance Flight Simulator II no longer loads
  17. and gives some sort of memory error.
  18.  
  19. Is this an inherent problem with the new (!) drive, or are my disks
  20. just damaged from the old faltering 1050?
  21. (What would make the XF551 different, except for the plastic case?)
