- I think the reason is simply that there wouldn't be enough traffic.
- Look at the Atari Archive FTP site. How many 8-bit uploads are there a
- month? An average of maybe 3 or 4?

- Granted not all, but MOST everybody reading this group can get at the
- atari.archive either by FTP or by e-mail with BART. Those people that
- can do nothing but read News are welcome to post binaries here, but
- unfortunately cannot retrieve files from the Archive.

- Combine this information with the fact that comp.sys.atari.8bit doubles
- as the Info-Atari8 Digest mailing-list, where subscribers grumble when
- their mailboxes overflow with oversized Digests containing huge binaries,
- and hopefully you see why we use the atari.archive instead of a
- comp.binaries group.
