- Hiya,
- I brought my HD home to Malaysia (240V/50Hz). It's a FROG 210e with
- one of those autovoltage thingies. About every other time I boot, Finder will
- report that there seems to be some damage to my hard drive, would I please back
- it up, etc. I brought it back to US, and it boots perfectly well each time
- (well, I haven't encountered that message anymore... :)). Also, I bought a
- transformer and stuck it out the back of the hard drive, and stuck my modem to
- that transformer and my modem did not work while I was in Malaysia (the output
- voltage was correct at 9V), but once back in US, it works again. While in
- Malaysia, the self test (modem) that starts when you switch it on also seems to
- take a longer time to complete.
- Does anybody know what is happening? Is there something wrong with the
- voltage/Hz ? I would like to bring back my hd and a modem when I go back, but
- if it gives me problems like this....
- Thanx in advance for any help. Ciao.
