- No one replyed to my original post about Seven Hill's Spectrum. I am assume
- that no one saw the post. Spectrum was listed on Apple's Opportunities for the
- Apple II's, which was published back in March. It seems to be a GS specific
- telecom program. Anyone have any information on it?
-
- I just ordered ProTerm. Thanx to the people that replied about vt100.
-
- While ProTerm seems really nice, I always wanted to see a GS specific telecom
- program. Some may say QuickDraw II is too slow for telecom... how about
- ORCA's Prizm? Prizm can scroll by one line as fast as the text mode, and
- scrolling by page is only slower by a little bit. And the font is monospaced.
- Normally, the special Shaston 8 ( fastfont ) is the fastest. But it's not
- monospaced, and scrolling by page is really slow when compared to Prizm. The
- size of the font used in Prizm will allow at least 80x23. Probably 80x25 if
- you don't use the menu bar & the window title.
-
- The program should go like this, the terminal window should take the whole
- screen. With a vertical scroll bar on the right. I don't think a horizontal
- bar is needed at all. The menu bar should only come up when you move the mouse
- into that area. It should support x, y, and z modem. vt100, 102 is cool. I
- personally don't like ANSI. The splite screen of the Prizm would be very
- useful for quoting too!
-
- I hope Mike is willing to share his Prizm with Insync, or Paul ( ANSIterm )...
- I think this program would really sale... don't you?
-
- btw, what is Mike's aol address? Is the GEnie gateway open yet?
-
- Later!
