- I do NOT recommend the PLI drive. I bought one, and normal SCSI use fried
- part of the drive. Calls to PLI tech support revealed that the PLI case has
- a funky "active terminator" that figures out if there is another device in
- the chain and disables the internal terminator when appropriate. However,
- this requires that the host cable be plugged into the top port or else you
- might fry the circuit. Suffice it to say that products which outsmart
- themselves don't rate highly with me. I sent mine back and went with Tulin.

- P.S. Current word from Tulin is that they have written a DMA SCSI driver for
- their floptical. I'm calling back tomorrow for tech info. If it can mount Mac
- formatted 1.44 meg floppies, I think I'll pick up a used DMA SCSI just to use
- with the floptical.
