I HAVE ALSO TRIED TO CHANGE THE FILE TYPE USING UTILITYWORKS TO A SHRINKIT FILE BUT THAT DOESNOT WORK EITHER. I READ SOMETHING ABOUT BINSCII. WHAT IS IT. I AM SURE SOMEONE KNOWS THE ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM. IF YOU COULD HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.

Most files are converted from there "binary" form to a "text" representation
by using a utility program such as BINSCII on the 8 bit Apple IIs or GSCII+
on the GS. The text format is necessary to insure proper transmission of
binary files over "7 bit" data paths (networks). Once a file is received,
you HAVE to use the conversion utility! Changing the filetype will not help
matters. For ShrinkIt to recognize the file, it has to be un-textified
first!
Hope this helps. You can get BINSCII or GSCII+ from the ftp sites.
